Grand Canyon
Four of us would camp our way to the Grand Canyon and spend a fabulous new year there. We would visit the Yosemite Vally, Death Vally, Hoover Dam, and the Indian Ruins before getting to the Grand Canyon. We would spend two awsome weeks in the We were very well prepared for all campign needs. The tents, sleeping bags, water canteens, bug spray, first aid kits, stove, water purifier, rain coats, flash lights, maps etc... It was not to be so.
The reality was totally different, well not totally. Two of the four people dropped out of the trip because their pets made more pets. This left just the two of us. We separated out their gear from ours and went on our way. This was not the end of it. The first morning of the trip I came down with the worst sore throat of the decade. By the end of the day the severe sore throat had turned into a full blown flu.
