P E O P L E
. . . . . . . . . . . . .
Here are a some interesting people I know. If you're
not listed here it's not because I don't like you (I don't like anyone),
but rather because I don't know that you're on the web.
Sophia Field
Sophie and I have been together for just about half our lives now. Her most recent project
is starting up a professional photography studio
in the San Francisco Bay Area. Check out those
portraits and headshots.
She could probably even make you look good. You can find her online starting at her
new photo blog, or on her her
friendster page.
She also likes to yelp, and writes some reviews there.
Her photography business is
also listed, but she has been classy enough not to write her own reviews.
I just put up our first article: all
about headshots. It was fun to write.
Cynthia Field
This is my sister. She's currently making her way through the
workaday world. She's very smart, yet afflicted with being attractive.
Hermann & Kate Field
This is a website about my grandparents. Hermann was kidnapped and imprisoned
by the Polish secret police from 1949 through 1954. He and Kate wrote
a book about their experiences , and this site
provides some additional background and discussion.
Thomas Sola
I've known this man since seventh grade, and I still couldn't pretend
to understand him. We've worked together on so many projects
that I probably should hate him by now. I don't.
The Reverend Brendan Powell Smith
Creativity Squared. Creator of
Brad The Game,
The Human Heads,
The Second Coming,
The Brick Testament, and
countless other cool projects. Should be famous soon. Seriously.
Dan Grigsby
You may know him as "The Idea Man From Minnesota" thanks to the long list
of crazy-cool projects he's brought to life. His latest is
Mozo, a DVD trading site. He
flies a mean plane, climbs a mean mountain, hacks a mean perl script,
and keeps an entertaining web log as well. You'd do well to check it
regularly. Dan also gave me my first chance at professional coding.
David Lowe
Well known for (now defunct) pootpoot.com and
being the last living altruist in San Francisco. Currently
residing in Oregon. Can ingest huge
quantities of Ben & Jerry's and still maintain his figure.
Akiyoshi Iida
Created two of the most popular underground attractions on the web:
(now defunct) Find Poot and (still going strong)
Madame Poot. If it
weren't for the fact that David is from Canada and Aki is from
Guatemalla, I'd think they were brothers. Perhaps in a former
life.
Satyam Dave
I'd tell you some of the projects Satyam has worked on in his career as an
engineer, but then he'd have to evicerate you. He's currently working
on Gravity Probe B, which
isn't so classified.
This is his first web
site - it was done as a school project.
